What is CBayLEAP Certification module?
In accordance with CBay’s policy, all production employees need to be CBay
Certified. Certification test is conducted for new entrants at the end of training
and experienced staff before joining / beginning production. CBay Certificate
is awarded for the successful candidates.

ENROLLMENT AND ENTRANCE TESTS
How do I enroll myself on CBayLEAP?
- New Entrants: If you are a fresh candidate with no experience in
medical transcription industry and wish to choose this industry as a career, you
can take up a screening test to check if you have the right aptitude for this industry.
You will also be provided a presentation at the end of the screening test to make
you aware of the industry, CBay Systems, and other necessary information that will
help you choose this career. Thereafter, you will be invited to the nearest
CBay Center for a detailed entrance test and when successful you will be trained
in the highest standard by CBay’s training team.
Register for screening test
- Experienced MTs/Editors: If you are an experienced MT / Editor
with a desire to join CBay, you can express interest
and you will be invited to the nearest CBay Center for an entrance test and
the CBay certification module.
Post your resume
- CEP: If you are already working for CBay and wish to upgrade your
skills to be a better medical transcriptionist or editor, you can log in and begin
your journey using the continuing education program module.

Can I take the entrance test from home?
If you are a new entrant, you can appear for screening test (link to screening test) from cyber café or personal computer / laptop. Thereafter, you will be invited to appear for detailed entrance test and training to the nearest CBay Center.
For experienced medical transcriptionists wishing to join CBay as well as those working with CBay will have to appear for related activities from CBay’s Centers.
What do I do if I forget or need to change my password?
On the login page, select 'Forgot Password' link. This brings the 'Forgot Password' page. Submit the email id registered on CBayLEAP portal and the password is emailed.
What happens if someone loses their internet connection in the middle of an assessment / test?
The test will begin from where it stopped. However, for areas like listening comprehension, and paragraph-based multiple choice, and essay, the question will be repeated again.
NEW ENTRANTS (FRESHERS)
I have no medical knowledge or background. Can I still appear for the MT test?
There is no need to doubt your aptitude for medical transcription industry just because you do not have medical knowledge or background. Transcription industry has more people like you than those with medical background. All you need is good listening skills, command over English language, and desire to learn. We will train you in medical terminologies and required transcription proficiencies.

What is the difference between screening test and detailed entrance test?
Screening test for new entrants (freshers) is a brief 20-question online test that can be attempted from anywhere. All you need is to register myself and appear for the test. This test will give you a preliminary feedback about your aptitude to make a successful medical transcriptionist. Once you clear the screening test, you will receive a mail from CBay Systems on the registered mail id with information on the nearest CBay Center and relevant contact details.
You can then visit the nearest CBay Center and appear for a detailed entrance test and personal interview to be selected for training and employment. Detailed entrance test will consist of questions spanning listening comprehension, Basic English and grammar, comprehension, word power, and essay.
Are Certificates available to the trainees after completion of the training?
Yes, certificate will be awarded to the candidates clearing CBay Certification Examination. This will be provided to you at the CBay Center you join for production.
Where will I be trained and placed after training?
You will be trained at the CBay Center where you appear for detailed entrance test. After training, you will be employed as CBay employee with the same center.

You will then receive an email inviting you to the nearest CBay Center for entrance test and final interview.

I already have considerable experience in medical transcription. Do I still need to appear for entrance test and CBay Certification?
Yes, as per CBay’s recruitment policies, if you are not already CBay certified, you need to appear for an entrance test. Your experience will always help you to do well in the entrance test.
If you have already been CBay Certified in the past, please submit your CBay MTID.
Entrance test is based along the lines of CBay Certification Test. Hence, if you achieve the desired certification benchmarks, your entrance test could very well be your certification test. Else, you will be oriented on the required areas to be able to clear CBay Certification at a later date.
